I was thinking about songs which capture what it’s like to have a passion for new computer technology. Here is the roundup of songs from once over-hyped idiotic virals to some fun tunes that will get you out of your chair. I also can’t belive I found all of these on YouTube.

1. Technologic – Daft Punk (2005)
   I have always loved Daft Punk and I think this song is the theme of every one’s life who uses technology. That’s why this is my number one.
   
2. iGeneration – MC Lars (2004)
   Um, I’m a PC, and I have an iPod. But just add “i” before anything and it sounds techy.
   
3. White and Nerdy – Weird Al (2006)
   As soon as I heard this I knew it would be a Weird Al Classic.
   
4. Geek Love – Fan 3 (2004)
   It starts off innocently enough… But get ready for some serious giggles.
   
5. Slash Dot – Fat Boy Slim (2004)
   It’s hard to sing along with the fast pace and it will get stuck in your head. It’s borderline annoying.
   
6. Super Mario Brothers Theme
   I want to break some bricks and squash mushrooms when I hear this.
   
7. Ma Ya Hi (Dragostea Din Tei) Numa Numa Mix (2005) – Dan Balan
   Even if you weren’t a web geek, you’ve heard of this one. Ah, the power of video and YouTube… That’s two minutes of my life I’ll never get back.
   
8. The Hamster Dance
   (Sorry, I just had to include this one… )I wonder if this was one of the first virals before we defined the term? Probably everyone and their mom has been to this site: hamsterdance.com.
   
9. Computer Love – The New Zapp IV U(1989)
   These are the sounds computers used to make. Amazing huh? (This is just music, no images).
