Painting my first Munny.

Munny’s have a huge following - it’s a sort of DIY toy. I see it as a blank canvas for making whatever is captured in your imagination. Last Friday night some fellow AgencyNet-ers and myself stayed up late during our first “Munny Painting Festival of AgencyNet“. Melanie and I got hooked after checking out some custom Munny work on Flickr.

I first discovered the cool toys from the store Pink Ghost. It’s just a few steps away from AgencyNet. I’m convinced our creative team has hugely contributed to the success of this store as someone buys something almost every day. The addictive nature of these toys is enchanting because you don’t know what you’re getting when you buy one. All you see is the box and you can give it a little shake to guess what it might be. It takes you back to the days of gum-ball machines and “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”. After all, life is like a box of chocolates.

If you too feel inspired to design your own Munny, you can get ‘em in white, black or glow in the dark.

The eyes in many of your paintings(and Munny’s) communicate so much emotion. Do you consciously consider this in your artwork?
