Here’s another wallpaper. It occurred to me that carousel horses were stunning works of art in their own right. I was recently inspired by the color and ornate details. After I had spent some time doodling, I brought it into PhotoShop and morphed it into a simple scene. Multiple sizes are available below. This wallpaper is free but not to be used commercially or for profit. Feel free link here to share with your friends.
Instructions:
Wondering what size to pick? Well, just check your display settings. On a PC right click your desktop to find out what your resolution is.
Next, click the correct size below to open in a new window and right click the image to “Set as Desktop Background”. Thats it!

Very nice. It reminds me of the original covers from Guy Gavriel Kay’s Fionavar Books. Some of my favorites from when I was a kid. The art for those was done by Martin Springett: http://www.martinspringett.com/

Ok here comes some random association but first I thought wow cool feels like a fantasy, then I thought about riding the horse back to the castle which then brought to mind the scene from Mary Poppins where they are riding the carousel horses through the chalk drawing world. Told you it was random!! Very nice work though!

well well well, bit by the WP bug have we?
Not so sure as to mounting up on this bad boy/girl and galloping off but I can say . . . . . stunning piece.
Magnificent job you’ve done portraying a symbolism to textures and (thickly) cut paper pieces.
The composition and flow of the piece is nice as well as lighting and shadows. The horse itself looks great. but I miss seeing the drop shadow or lack there of a drop shadow carried throughout the background (hills, castle, moon clouds etc)
than I will be my usual self - and say why do the trees cast shadows but the castle doesn’t?
nice job L

I am going to date myself by saying how your horse brings back fond memories of spending hours riding the magical stallions to far away lands to rescue fair maidens. Of course, they were on carousal rides but to an active mind that would emulate a gallant charge or fast trot.
Thanks for the memories. Ron

Larissa, the image you created would make for a great poster or a painting in a child’s bedroom.
