In the spirit of Halloween I painted my 6th Munny to look like Frankenstein. A Munny is the greatest Do-It-Yourself-Toy. I also hung up a new shelf at work to accommodate the growing Munny family. Here’s some pix from my handy new SLR. I’m so in love! *sigh*
So, say hello to Frankenmunny!

He’s ready for his closeup.

Meet the family.

I named him Quincy because he is my 5th Munny.

Oh, and wicket says hello too. I tried to tell her that this post was about the Munny family but she wouldn’t stop bothering me until I posted her photo. (She is the little diva these days.)

*Insert shamless self promotion to sell IT on ebay*
In the effort to make room for new art, I’m selling some paintings on Ebay. Last time I sold art on Ebay it was a steal! When shown in galleries my art goes for 5 times as much. I want to create some more paintings but I need to find forever homes for the works listed. The paintings end late Friday and the framed pastels end late Sunday. Hope ya don’t miss out and thanks for supporting my art!
Will you adopt my art?

I LOVE Inventsville
I’m also selling my surplus of Inventsville Toys by Damon Soule. In case you haven’t heard of this collection - it’ sold out! Here’s what I have available. (Auction ends late Sunday).

Oh, I love me some Munnies!!! Or is it Munny’s? Who cares, I’ll be makin’ make some more Munnies in the future. Meet Munny Number Three.
I might have issues, maybe a Munny addiction. I can’t help that they satisfy my childhood cravings to paint anything I can get my hands on. DIY toys might be the best invention ever!
STEP 1: Here, I’m sketching it out

STEP 2: And adding some Sculpey

STEP 3: The first coat of paint

STEP 4: The second coat of paint

STEP 5: The final Munny

So what’s a girl to do on an exciting Saturday night? Make a Munny of course! I think I’ve found a new hobby. This time I got brave and played with Sculpey to add some details. I think I liked the first one I did better but now I know how to manipulate the Sculpey Polymer Clay. I baked my Munny at 275 with the clay and I think as long as I don’t do it to often it shouldn’t be an issue. But I’ve read that you shouldn’t bake it in the same oven you cook in. I don’t have a spare oven so I’ll keep my fingers crossed.

Munny’s have a huge following - it’s a sort of DIY toy. I see it as a blank canvas for making whatever is captured in your imagination. Last Friday night some fellow AgencyNet-ers and myself stayed up late during our first “Munny Painting Festival of AgencyNet“. Melanie and I got hooked after checking out some custom Munny work on Flickr.
I first discovered the cool toys from the store Pink Ghost. It’s just a few steps away from AgencyNet. I’m convinced our creative team has hugely contributed to the success of this store as someone buys something almost every day. The addictive nature of these toys is enchanting because you don’t know what you’re getting when you buy one. All you see is the box and you can give it a little shake to guess what it might be. It takes you back to the days of gum-ball machines and “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”. After all, life is like a box of chocolates.
If you too feel inspired to design your own Munny, you can get ‘em in white, black or glow in the dark.
1. Pre-Customization:

2. Painting - Step 1:

3. Wicket loves Munny goggles.

4. The final result. My first Munny.
