The Art-O-Mat started when Artist Clark Whittington transformed an old cigarette machine into a vending machine station for his photographs to be used an art show.  The machine was such a hit, it remained and became a way to repackage art making it a part of our daily lives.  Now, they can be found in locations around the world!

The Vending Machines

Each machine has a pack of surprises. The machines themselves are works of art. Each one is unique and they come in all different colors and sizes too. Here’s a bunch of cool art-o-mats from all around the world.

What’s Inside?

Artworks vary from mini-paintings to jewelry and even tiny sculptures – it all depends on the artist.

What if there’s not a vending machine near you?

Good News! If there’s not an Art-O-Mat near you, you can order an  ART-O-CARTON through the Art-O-Mat Shop for $100. You will be asked to answer 10 questions with this purchase.  These 10 questions will give them insight on the personality of the recipient. They then hand pick one work based on the answer of each individual question and fill in the artist’s name under each question. (COOL!)
